Affiliate Disclosure
At Home Fix Journal, transparency and trust are central to how we help you make smart decisions for home improvement and repairs. This page explains our relationship with affiliate programs, including the Amazon Associates program, how we may earn commissions, and what that means for the recommendations you see on this site.
What it means to participate in affiliate programs
Home Fix Journal participates in various affiliate marketing programs, including the Amazon Associates program. When you click on an affiliate link on our site and complete a purchase, we may earn a small commission at no additional cost to you. These commissions help cover the costs of running the site, paying writers and experts, and producing in-depth testing and guides.
How commissions are earned
- Unique tracking links: Affiliate links contain tracking information that tells the merchant that you were referred by Home Fix Journal.
- Qualifying actions: We earn commissions when qualifying purchases or actions are completed through those tracking links.
- No extra cost: Commissions are paid by the retailer and do not increase the price you pay for products or services.
Editorial independence and recommendations
Our product recommendations and editorial content are created independently. We do not let affiliate relationships determine our coverage. Staff writers, editors, and subject-matter contributors evaluate products based on hands-on testing, expert review, user feedback, and objective criteria relevant to home improvement and repairs.
What this means for you: We recommend products we genuinely believe offer value, quality, and performance for homeowners, DIYers, and professionals. If a competing product better meets our standards, we will recommend that option regardless of any affiliate arrangement.
Other important notes
- Disclosure across the site: Affiliate disclosures will appear on pages that contain affiliate links so you can always see when a link may earn us a commission.
- Third-party relationships: We may participate in multiple affiliate programs and work with various retailers; the level of commission varies by program and product.
- Price integrity: We do not alter prices or manipulate product information to increase affiliate earnings. We link to official product listings and reputable retailers.
We appreciate your trust in Home Fix Journal. Supporting the site through affiliate links helps us continue producing practical, tested guidance for maintaining and improving your home.
