Buying Guide: Key Considerations When Choosing Desk Mounted Privacy Panels
- Privacy vs. visibility: Decide whether full opacity, frosted, or clear designs best fit your office culture and lighting needs.
- Mounting options: Look for clamps, screws, and stand mounts to maximize compatibility with your desks and workstations.
- Sound management: Consider NRC ratings and material density to gauge how effectively a panel reduces noise in your space.
- Surface utility: Tackable or pinboard surfaces add value for task management, notes, and inspiration.
- Durability and maintenance: High-density fabrics, laminate finishes, and acrylic panels should resist wear and be easy to clean.
- Cable management: Integrated cable slots help maintain a tidy workstation and reduce clutter.
- Color and aesthetics: Neutral tones blend with most office decor, while clear acrylic can preserve a sense of openness.
- Size and modularity: Ensure the panel dimensions fit your desk depth and width, and consider whether multi-panel or two-pack options better serve your layout.
- Safety and standards: Check for flame resistance and edge treatments that meet common office safety guidelines.
- Cost of ownership: Balance initial cost with durability, warranty, and the convenience of installation.
